Potatoes and cabbage are both optional. It is usually served with sour cream, little bread buns and garlic.
In East Prussia beef and sour cream (Schmand) was served with the Beetenbartsch (lit. beetroot-borscht).
In Lithuanian cuisine, dried mushrooms are often added.
i saw rick james at dinner. he came to a taqueria that i was waiting for my food at. he ordered, i watched him, my food arrived, he sat in front of me. i watched the back of his braided head as I ate. then we started speaking about how good our dinners were. i got pork, he got something else. we chewed and moaned, this went on for some time. then we both finished in pain from being so full.
then he said, " well, do you wanna?"
i replied, " well...do you wanna?" "
"yeah."
so he walked me out to his car, some kind of mid seventies sedan with large hood and ted nugent decal on the back window. we drove to his apartment, the charm jingling from the rearview.
we went up to his place and he offered me some water. I finished it and then we did it. and then he offered me more water after we finished. i finished it. and then he insisted on paying me because it was "so good."
then i went shopping.
